Starting in our own backyard with events in Baltimore and Washington that have included venues such as the former party hot spots Baja Beach Club, the trendy Redwood Trust, Champions of Georgetown and Tony and Joe’s on the Potomac waterfront. While we have outlasted some of these venues, Babes and Ballers continues to grow and expand to new states and new venues.

Originally promoting events where just a couple of celebrities and entertainers attended, Pointed Magazine and the Push Media Group held a successful breakout party titled Babes and Ballers during the Las Vegas 2007 NBA All Star Weekend and where over 35 celebrities walked the red carpet and over 2,000 people attended. The success of our event on the biggest sports weekend ever in Las Vegas history was key in planning future events.

In 2007, Push Media Group decided to trademark Babes and Ballers as a brand of stand alone parties as well as event planners and continue with the fun times taking our events to clubs, lounges and bars nationwide. We will continue to bring some of the most beautiful babes found in sports and entertainment business and combine them with some of the best ballers found for one great charitable night.

Railroad Dark

The Push Media Group is debuting the Railroad Dark website where a collection of professional photographers will showcase railroading operations from Dusk to Dawn.

WHY

Many of our photographers decided that it was time to put our talents of shooting sports, entertainment into the real artistic passion behind photographs. When our Executive Director Sol Tucker came to a staff meeting one day and shared his passion of railroading, the remainder of the staff decided to work on a pilot project at that time titled Noctural Nights. Then process started what has been a three year journey of gathering images and also going inside of 10 years of archived photos.

Today the Railroad Dark editorial is a reality. A passion for railroading images turned into a website and soon to be print book. Stay tuned and join in our our journey to find the best nocturnal images of railroading nationwide.

WHAT

The Railroad Dark website and the print book is a ongoing project that will culminate in the next 12-24 months with some of the best images in railroading.

Along the way we will also be showcasing some of the top amatuer photographers as part of the project. Two will be chosen to be a part of the final print book and awarded their chance a professional career as a result of their printeed work in Railroad Dark.

HOW

How we capture some of the images for this website as well as our book takes lots of sleepless nights, lots of travel and lots of proper execution to get just the right shot. This is no easy task. We simply can\’t show up and hope it happens. Lots of effort go to planning the shot and of course ensuring the safety of all people involved. Capturing Railroading, especially at night can be a tough task and we take pride in doing so with care. All Images will be done via the proper channels and using the best safety equipment to insure the safety of all of our staff members involved in the project.

We will continue to gather images from across the country using some of the best professional equipment from Canon, Nikon, Pocket Wizard and Alien Bees.Without the support of many of these companies, these images would not be possible.

Stay tuned for special session

Saving WB Tower

When WB Tower closed its doors for the last time in December of 2011, The Push Media Group led by Executive Director and Managing Partner, Sol Tucker, decided that it was going to partner with the City of Brunswick and CSX Transportation, to ensure that another part of railroad history did not disappear from the city.

Once sufficient funds are raised, WB Tower will be removed from the current location on CSX property to a location approximately .2 of a mile west to a new location on city property. Here WB Tower will serve as a reminder of the railroading history in the City of Brunswick, and become a tourism attraction for the future.

The project will not be complete without the gracious efforts of many personal and corporate donations. Each one of these donations, whether small or large, will make this WB Tower project a reality and a piece of the original B&O railroad will stand next to the same tracks that it has watched over since the early 1900’s for many more years to come.
